Product Options Explained
Printing Colors:
Full color means your artwork can utilize any combination of colors, which the printing process achieves by using varying percentages of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (CMYK) inks, which is why full color is often called four color process.
Black Ink (grayscale) means your artwork can be anything created in grayscale, such as a black and white photograph or plain black text or any shade, screen, or percentage of black.
None is a simple as it sounds, it’s simply blank with only the white of the paper showing.
Does your artwork bleed?
You can extend (bleed) your artwork over the edges of the paper to prevent having a white frame around your design. If you want bleed, make sure your artwork extends to the outer most border, which is black in our templates. Using our templates is the best way to guarantee proper bleed.
Papers:
Gloss paper makes inks pop off the page, dull (matte) will appear less vivid yet more sophisticated, and uncoated will give a more natural or rough look to your cards. The thickness and rigidity of the paper increases as the number of pts. or weight of the paper increases. If you plan to mail your postcards, uncoated on the address side is the safest option because some mailing houses use ink jet addressing equipment that doesn’t print well on coated paper stocks.
We offer recycled paper options for people and companies concerned about environmental sustainability.
Recycled Papers
  1. 10pt Cover – Front: Gloss, Back: Gloss, This gloss coated 80% recycled paper, with a minimum of 40% post-consumer waste, which is processed chlorine free.
  2. 13pt Cover – Front: Dull, Back: Dull, This dull coated 100% recycled paper, with a minimum of 50% post-consumer waste.
    Proof:
PDF soft proof: Free of charge we can provide a PDF proof that you can download or view from within your web browser. PDF files require the Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is free and can be downloaded here. PDF proofs are great for making sure the layout is correct and that all text is correct and typo free. However, PDF proofs cannot be used to ensure that colors will print exactly as you desire. If your job is color critical, we recommend a hardcopy proof (see below).
Hardcopy Proof: If you want to make sure the colors within photographs, type, logos, or design elements will print as you intended, please order a hardcopy Epson proof. An Epson proof is an inkjet proofing method that produces a CMYK (Full or Four Color Process) proof using your files. We produce hardcopy proofs within 48 hours of file submission and ship them via FedEx overnight.
