Business Cards
We offer 1-2 spot color printing on stationery style stocks for a professional look. We craft our business cards the old fashioned way with spot color inks using offset and thermographic printing presses.
We offer smooth, linen, gloss, dull, uncoated, and recycled paper options. Our business cards, stationery products, and pocket folders offer spot color printing so you can build a consistent identity kit with matching colors and paper stocks.
For orders that have very heavy coverage of solid inks, we reserve the right to charge a higher price due to the extra charges involved in producing those orders.
For 3 spot color business cards, please call(888) 713-9191 or use our online form to get an estimate.
For full color or more than 3 colors see our Coop Business Cards

Product Options Explained
Size:
Our standard size is 3.5” x 2” but we can trim your business cards narrower, shorter, or both if you wish, but you must clearly mark your crop (trim) size in your files.
Printing Colors:
What is Spot Pantone color printing? Why does it matter?
You can think of Spot Pantone color inks as similar to the paint you buy at the local hardware store. Each spot color ink has a unique number associated with it.
When you use spot colors you will know exactly how the colors of your final printed pieces will look. Spot colors are the only way to ensure quality and consistency among different printed pieces, such as business cards, letterhead, envelopes, and pocket folders.
Spot or PMS color printing means that the actual color of the objects in your design (vector art, text, lines, boxes, etc.) are defined using a numeric value (a PMS value). When printed, the ink color is formulated by mixing exact percentages of other ink colors and whites to match the precise color in the swatch book or library.
Designers use the swatch library to choose the PMS numbers to assign to different objects in a design. The most common professional design software packages have the ability to use these swatch libraries or have developed color palettes for spot colors.
The color reproduction you see on your monitor is in the RGB color space. What you see on your monitor IS NOT what you’ll get when printed by any printer. That’s why having both the swatch library on your computer and a hardcopy Pantone swatch book are important. The hardcopy swatch book lets you see exactly what the color will look like when printed, similar to paint chips from the hardware store.
PMS stands for Pantone® Matching System. It is THE international standard for matching and controlling print ink color. It provides standardized color reference chips and formulae to reproduce those colors using standardized basic colors. You can learn more about Pantone® and get a PMS swatch book at www.pantone.com. Order the PMS formula guides coated, uncoated, and matte (they come in a pack of all three). These guides show how the same ink color looks on different types of paper.
Raised Ink:
We offer raised ink (thermography) printing for our stationery products. When you run your fingers over the paper you can feel the texture of the ink extend above the paper. Raised ink provides a more traditional look and feel.
Does your artwork bleed?
You can extend (bleed) your artwork over the edges of the paper to prevent having a white frame around your design. If you want bleed, make sure your artwork extends past the crop and trim marks to the outer most border, which is black in our templates (using our templates is the best way to guarantee this).
We do not recommend bleeding full coverage of a solid color. Due to the limitations of stationery printing equipment, large areas of solid colors do not cover well. Solid colors in smaller areas work well.
Proof:
PDF soft proof: Free of charge we can provide a PDF proof that you can download or view from within your web browser. PDF files require the Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is free and can be downloaded here. PDF proofs are great for making sure the layout is correct and that all text is correct and typo free. However, PDF proofs cannot be used to ensure that colors will print exactly as you desire. If your job is color critical, we recommend a hardcopy proof (see below).
Hardcopy Epson Proof: If you want to make sure the colors within photographs, type, logos, or design elements will print as you intended, please order a hardcopy Epson proof. An Epson proof is an inkjet proofing method that produces a CMYK (Full or Four Color Process) proof using your files. We produce hardcopy Epson proofs within 48 hours of file submission and ship them via FedEx overnight.
Paper:
80 lb. Cover, Bright White Wove (Smooth) – Strathmore Bright White Wove is an uncoated smooth paper. This is the standard for the majority of the business cards you see.
80 lb. Cover, Ivory Baronial (Smooth) – Similar to the white wove, but ivory in color.
80 lb. Cover, Bright White (Linen) – Linen pattern paper is perfect when you desire a traditional and upscale aesthetic. 80 lb. Cover, Ivory (Linen) – same as the Linen above but on an Ivory colored sheet.
100 lb. Cover, Domtar 12 point (White) – Front: Coated, Back: Uncoated: Quality coated paper stock, recycled and process chloring free.
